Tawazun signs total 27 deals worth $6.65bn during Dubai Air Show

Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement (Tawazun), the national authority mandated to enable, regulate, and sustain the UAE’s defence and security industrial ecosystem, signed 27 local and international contracts on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and Abu Dhabi Police valued at AED24.443 billion (US$6.65 billion) during the four days of the Dubai Airshow 2025.

This includes seven new contracts on behalf of the Ministry of Defence during the final day on Friday, with a total value of AED6.427 billion (US$1.75 billion).

The announcement was made during a press conference attended by Abdulla Ahmed Al Saeedi and Manea Abdulkarim Al Mansoori, the official spokespersons of the Council.

Official spokesperson of the council, Abdulla Ahmed Al Saeedi, said four of the local contracts signed on Friday included one with Abu Dhabi-based Calidus to procure and supply Al Heda missile launch system worth AED6.142 billion (US$1.67 billion).

Among other contracts are one with International Golden Group (IGG) to procure drones valued at AED57.858 million (US$15.75 million); a contract with Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI) to procure radars for AED37.684 million (US$10 million), and another with Supreme Professional Services to provide follow-on support, spare parts and maintenance of radars, worth AED20 million (US$5.45 million).

International contracts signed on the last day included three deals – all with French companies – worth AED169.616 million (US$46.2 million). This included a contract with Thales to procure thermal weapon sights valued at AED75.966 million (US$20.7 million); an AED32.24 million (US$8.8 million) contract with CS Group for the purchase of systems, and with MBDA for follow-on support, spare parts repair for MICA, Black Shaheen and Mistral, worth AED61.41 million (US$16.7 million).

Tawazun spokesperson Manea Abdulkarim Al Mansoori said that the results achieved during the first four days of the Dubai Airshow reflect the UAE’s vision of developing an integrated, innovative, and strategically driven defence and security sector. He added that Tawazun continues to foster a competitive and enabling environment for the private sector.
